1- In the future, if you can't find a decent job, you run errands-the dangerous, often illegal kind. 30-year-old Jace Lopaz is a hard-worn scoundrel and a lifelong solo act-until he's saddled with his 13-year-old half-brother Tawnk full-time. Now Jace has two mouths to feed while evading the law, running from aliens, and jumping off skyscrapers. The only thing weirder than the vastness of space is family.
2- Tawnk runs his first errand with Jace, and it goes swimmingly! Just kidding. On the desert planet Mauslio, the brothers Lopaz immediately get in over their heads, enraging a giant bird and running afoul of hungry dirt pirates.
3- The quick errand to snag some bird for a rich weirdo's personal zoo hasn't gone as planned. If Jace and Tawnk aren't eaten by dirt pirates, will they even get paid, what with Tawnk's pesky conscience getting in the way? Seriously though, Jace is failing at this whole responsible big brother thing.
4- Jace's past has come back to haunt him, and there's no outrunning it this time. While Tawnk is faced with fending for himself, Jace does his court-ordered time in a mental prison for what feels like ten years, living a life of what might have been. This one is going to get a little emotional, folks.
5- MINISERIES FINALE! Jace has racked up a lot of debt, so there's no time to recover from prison. Luckily, Tawnk's convinced Bear to give them a "nice" errand. Oh, it's still dangerous, in barely charted space inhabited by crystalline beings and metal-eating manatees. And, yeah, it's super illegal. Let's hope the brothers survive their final issue!
