1- A whole generation has grown up since the Great Quake, and people like Trix and her brother Johnny don't know what life was like before New Angeles crumbled. Suffice to say, they've learned how to make the most of living inside the walled city, and particularly within their 'hood. Johnny is the leader of the Kings of HelL.A., a street gang ready to protect its turf against any and all comers-though Johnny may have taken things too far when he crossed Leonard, a former Suicider known as the Coyote. Things are about to get a whole lot more violent. Meanwhile, Trix is finding love in the arms of Johnny's best friend, and their star-crossed romance is going to bring trouble of an entirely different kind. The second chapter in Lee Bermejo's acclaimed SUICIDERS series shows us a completely different side of life in New Angeles. Joining Bermejo for KINGS OF HELL.A. is artist Alessandro Vitti (RED LANTERNS), whose kinetic style perfectly fits SUICIDERS' brutal landscape.
2- Things are heating up on the streets of New Angeles. Johnny stole the Coyote's championship sword, and the mayhem he's caused has brought not only the wrath of the former Suicider, but also unwanted police attention. Meanwhile, Trix has a secret growing inside her she'd rather her brother not find out about.
3- The streets of New Angeles are dangerous, and it's not just because of gangs like the Kings of HelL.A. protecting their turf with violence. There are other creatures, unseen predators, feeding on life through death. One in particular has a history with Leonard from back in the day when he was Suiciding under the name Coyote. As Leonard tries to create a new future for himself, he'll realize that the past is always waiting to bite him on the ass.
4- Trix can no longer hide the news from her brother Johnny that she's pregnant, but even if he finds out, he has other concerns to deal with first. He and the Kings have been causing so much trouble in Los Angeles, they've quickly become the city's most wanted. The police aren't the only ones on the hunt for the gang, though. Leonard is looking to put the broken pieces of his life back together.
5- After the clash between [redacted] and [redacted] has left [redacted] [redacted], there's nothing left for [redacted] and [redacted] to do but [redacted]. What can we say with an issue this volatile and emotionally devastating? Nothing, it seems, without giving it away. You're just going to have to read the comic and prepare yourself for the brutal climax to come.
6- After the events of the previous issue, there's no returning to normal for the Kings of HelL.A. With both the Mulholland Corp and the police dropping the hammer on the kids, the ones who make it out alive are going to have to decide which way they want their lives to go: get out of the gang life, or die trying. Meanwhile, Leonard and Ellroy have their final showdown. Featuring a special epilogue illustrated by series creator Lee Bermejo.
