1- Mary Medina has been through a lot. Born with the ability to raise the dead, she has had many adventures-both as Mary and her alter-ego, Mystere-across the Grimm Universe. But now, Mary is content to leave her life as Mystere behind her. However, when mysterious deaths begin popping up too close to home, Mary must become Mystere once again to stop the horror that is being unleashed on her newfound home!
2- Through her volunteer work at a local homeless shelter, Mary Medina has been attempting to make her life about something other than death. But when the corpse of a homeless man is discovered with his soul sucked from his body, Mary begins investigating rumors of a mysterious and murderous Blacksmith. Will she be able to put the pieces together before the Blacksmith claims another soul?
3- As Mary goes toe-to-toe with the Blacksmith, she is found asking herself a whole lot of questions. Who is he? Why has he been slaughtering the homeless of New Orleans? And, most importantly, why aren't her powers working against him?
4- Mary has discovered the true origins of the Blacksmith and is on her way to confront the person she believes is responsible for his murderous actions. But she soon learns that her investigation may have led her to the wrong person and that revelation will make Mary question her own judgment, as well as her entire purpose in New Orleans.
5- Mary has been betrayed and imprisoned in the Woman in Black's underground lair, and has been given a choice: use Mystere's powers of necromancy to do the Woman in Black's bidding, or face the Blacksmith's soul-sucking hammer. Will Mary find a way to destroy this evil-and immortal-woman, or will she succumb to the grave circumstances she's found herself in? Find out in this pulse-stopping finale!
